Soapstone is a beginners' stone, soft, marble-like and it comes in different colours. Depending on the duration of the workshop, you will either make a sculpture or a piece of jewellery out of this exceptional material. At the end of the workshop, you can truly say that you can 'cut it as a master carver'!

Programme details
You have the option to attend a full-day or an afternoon session . During the full-day session, you will make a sculpture out of soapstone and during the afternoon session, a piece of jewellery. Under professional and intensive guidance, you will learn to follow the shape of the stone or to create a design you have chosen yourself. The stone is shaped using different files, then sanded with waterproof sandpaper and finally, the work of art is polished with beeswax.

You will not leave the workshop without a sculpture or a piece of jewellery to take home with you! The workshops are of course all about enjoying the creative process. Throughout the day, you are free to take a look around in the adjoining gallery.
