The DAF Museum stands on the very spot where the Van Doorne brothers first started their company in 1928, a company that would grow to become what we today know as DAF. The old workshop, complete with smithy, has been restored to its original state and is open for visitors. It is interesting to see the tools they used.
With the help of many historical vehicles, you can see and follow the whole development of DAF . As well as cars there are also race cars, lorries and prototype models on display that never made it to production line. You will also see the Royal Beach car, the 'driving rain-coat' and many more funny, beautiful and ingenious vehicles.
Anyone interested in automotive technology will enjoy the various models of motors, gear boxes, drives and such like. Historical films are shown throughout the museum. It's an absolute must, even for non-enthusiasts.
