Garden of Statues
The Stadswandelpark in Eindhoven was created around 1880 by a rich merchant who extended his already extensive garden by purchasing neighbouring plots of land. He then set a landscape gardener to work to make it into an attractive park… Now the Stadswandelpark is a charming, green oasis of peace and quiet within short walking distance of the city centre, complete with duck pond, sunny lawn and sculptures.
Programme details
A tour guide leads you through the atmospheric park, pointing out the numerous old and special trees that fill the park. The guide will also tell you all about the art objects and sculptures to be found throughout the park.
This walk focuses on the sculptures in the park. The tour guide is not an expert horticulturalist.
