Looking around the modern city of Eindhoven it is hard to imagine that this is one of the Netherlands’ oldest cities. In fact, Eindhoven was declared a city back in 1232!
Description
An experienced tour guide leads you through this seemingly young city. Many buildings and objects in the city are proof of its rich industrial past and slowly you will discover the special history of Eindhoven. Of course this includes the Philips story; the tour takes you past the oldest Philips factory where the very first light bulbs were made.
This programme is ideal to combine with a visit to the first Philips factory and/or the Artificial Light in Art Centre. Ask for the possibilities of adding a welcome reception with coffee & cake, a lunch or dinner.
